Can't really help with your post but welcome to the forum assuming you are new to it if course. I'm sure others will be along soon to help you with some advice or similar symptoms.

If your symptoms have become more severe since seeing your doctor, you must see the doctor again to update him/her. I know that many GPs are under pressure so this may not be a quick way to get reassurance or advice. Can you get to a nearby A&E section of a hospital? Allow for several hours in the waiting room, but this may be a faster route to getting help. If you are being overseen by District Nurses for your catheter care, get in touch with them. They can sometimes offer a fast track to seeing your GP. If all of these options fall short and symptoms continue to worsen, particularly if you feel very weak and/or develop a feverish temperature, dial 111.
I have had an in dwelling urethral catheter since late 2018. It is of course replaced every 12 weeks or when it blocks. I am very familiar with the symptoms you have described except for the pain. Mine was mainly blood, clots and blockages, the blood loss eventually leading to fatigue/lack of endurance. Fortunately, that phase of my life has eased after two TURBTs and other treatment. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Hi Dolphin500,Welcome to the group.I’m so sorry you are in pain with your symptoms.I had Interstitial cystitis for many years and that caused the same type of symptoms. You shouldn’t be left in pain as your symptoms must be affecting your quality of life.Have they mentioned bladder removal ? That would relieve you of the symptoms although it is major surgery.Diet can help.I cut out all foods that were too acidic.Onions and tomatoes caused a lot of pain so I avoided those and anything citrus. It’s a bit trial and error but it can make a difference to the pain.Drinking plenty of fluids helps to make the bladder less irritated.I would go back to your dr/urologist or may be get a second opinion ? Best wishes Jane
Hi There,
I am supposed to be having a super public catheter done when they send for me but I think I would rather have bladder removal.
After I had my Son in 2005 I was left traumatised I was Cut Wrong and only given gas & air still affecting me today.
I am also waiting for a Colostomy operation for the same reason.

Hi Dolphin500,I’m so sorry to hear of your traumas since your son’s birth.I hope your operations will help.Best wishes Jane x
Dear Dolphin500, so sorry to hear of this, it's awful. Have you been able to get any help with the trauma? My friend who suffered a lot of domestic violence some years ago is getting EMDR therapy starting soon, it's supposed to be helpful and at least it doesn't involve drugs.
