Hi there!
I have a question about results following a biopsy for red patches following BCG.
To give some context, my dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer in February 2022 - he has Pt1 grade 3 and has been having BCG.
After a recent cystoscopy they found some red patches so he had a biopsy under general anaesthetic 2 weeks ago. He’s just received a letter saying he’s got a telephone consultation at the start of November.
I wondered if anyone has had a similar experience - do you think the length of time until the appointments means they likely didn’t find any cancer when they did the biopsy?
Thanks so much!
Yes I have had red patches after Bcg, but all turned out OK after check ups..
Telephone appointment in over 2 months time means good news. If there was recurrent cancer, they would be seeing him sooner and probably face to face. If you have his CNS’s number, you can contact them to double check. Best of luck. X
Thank you so much for your reply, that’s really reassuring :)
