Hi all, so I just heard I am having my GA Cystoscopy Bx next week on 15th. My urologist does it like this; 6 weeks BCG then flexi cystoscopy. Then 3 more BCG then GA cystoscopy BX . I do find it a bit odd that I cant just have another flexi, but i have to trust the experts. Not gonna lie , it has definitely given me the what ifs !! It is such hard work mentally trying to ignore the what ifs, but no choice really. Putting my big girl pants on and trying to think positively. I know you guys are always on standby with support and I love you all for that .
Halofan . Hi Angela. Sounds like they are taking good care of you, so I would take it all as a positive. The follow up TURBTs usually just take some sample biopsies rather than a full resection, so usually in and out fairly quickly. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
Thanks Rily, I am really grateful that they are monitoring me, and tbh I trust them more than any other physicians I have had care from in the past. I just get the wobbles . Sample biopsies makes sense really. Next week will be here soon enough. Going to put it to the back of my mind for now xx
Much love Angela x
Hi Angela
Please let me add my good wishes for you next week. It’s always stressful having more things like this to complete, but my take from this is that you are getting good care from your team.
Sarah xx
Hello again Angela, sounds a similar regime that I went through this year albeit I have had flexible cystoscopies and not rigid. Your team will probably be taking care to see everything is OK- which it will be. I know exactly what you mean by the what ifs! We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t worry and fret occasionally, it’s only natural. You know everyone on here will be holding your hand next week. Do you want to start a music thread to keep your mind off things? Top 10 Beatles songs perhaps? Here’s my favourite top ten but could change tomorrow.
Long, long, long (White Album)
Get Back
I’ll follow the sun ( Beatles for Sale)
Come Together (Abbey Road)
Blue Jay Way ( Magical Mystery Tour)
You never give me your money/ Sun King (Abbey Road)
Hey Jude
We can work it out
Strawberry Fields
A Day in the life ( Sgt Peppers)
Take care, Garviv
