My Sister in Law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year and underwent an operation called the whipple procedure . She has had a series of chemotherapy sessions and has been given the all clear following scan last month. However, her cognitive health, memory and lack of focus is concerning. Anyone had such problems and are there any coping strategies that may help. Thanks Garviv
Hi Garviv. good to know your SiL has the all clear but sorry to hear she is suffering the long term effects of chemo. We know some people have more lingering effect than others and chemo fog can be debilitating. I tolerated my chemo quite well but was always told to keep well hydrated and exercise when possible even though you do not feel like it. I was prescribed steroids by my oncologist which may have helped. Can't remember what they were. The fog is supposed to ease over time. I hope she picks up soon. best wishes.
