Hi Everyone,
thank you for all your support on my original post whilst waiting for my results.
Now having that result, I thought I would ask for any advice on how to get through chemo and the operation to follow.
i am being very positive as last week I spent not knowing if it had spread but PET scan was clear so that was such a big relief!
I hope everyone is doing OK on their journey through this x
Hi SharonO . Good to know you have a start date for your treatment. I had Gem/Cis over 6 weeks and tolerated it without any problems. The regimen usually consists of a long day one week followed by half day the next week. As it can be a long day, wear loose and comfortable clothes. Take plenty of snacks and drinks. Something to keep you occupied such as phone, tablet , magazines or book. I went on to RT rather than RC.. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
Hi Sharon
Glad to read you’ve had some positive news from your PET scan so at least now you can get your ducks in a row so to speak regarding your Bladder Diagnosis which must be a huge relief and have the conversations with your team and make the decisions on your treatment
all the Best Ste
