Hi everyone. My husband had one big dose of radiotherapy last week for pain relief in his leg:hip. . He is now suffering from continual diarrhoea or more specifically fecal incontinence. He has been prescribed Imodium type tablets but they not having much effect. Any advice would be very. Welcome.
Hi Farinelli . Unfortunately we know that pelvic radiotherapy can have adverse effects on the bowels. I had some mild problems but nothing too bad and it got better after a few weeks. I can't recommend any medications, but just to say it is important to take on plenty of water to avoid dehydration. I hope he feels better soon. Best wishes.
