Hello, I'm very recently diagnosed at 33 and I'm terrified if I'm honest. I've been told I have to have TURBT followed by chemo. Can anyone tell me the recovery time it takes after having turbt please? I have two young boys to look after so I'm struggling with the unknown. Thank you x
The issue with only a single week off is that it often takes more like two weeks for the internal wounds to heal. As they do, scabs can come away leaving a vulnerability to a bleed if you eg pick up a toddler. Hope that helps, maybe your hospital or GP will be helpful with a 'fit note' if you explain firmly that in your job you cannot avoid lifting.
