Hi dear team
I had my 1st Turbt on Wednesday (14th) and was allowed home that evening. Now 3 days on I still feel so tired and drained of energy, is this normal. I'm doing the right things hydration wise and taking care of the catheter etc. Not in great pain and paracetamol is helping but just so tired with heavy aching limbs. Had a shower earlier which was nice and eating OK.
Spend most of the day on the sofa watching sport or the like.
Love to all
Jane
Hi Jane,
Well it’s great that it went ok for you. You are bound to feel tired at at this stage. The anticipation of the procedure. The anaesthetic, the painkillers and antibiotics etc. The trauma of the surgery, pain and discomfort . The catheter etc.
it will take a week or two for you to feel a bit more like yourself, the recovery is quite quick. And I am sure you will feel better when your catheter is removed. Go easy on yourself and pace yourself - cut yourself some slack.
It’s definitely time to catch up on those box-sets, and of course drink plenty of water to flush things through the system.
all the best Leo
Thank you
Patience does not come easily to me, too much time to let my thoughts become scarier. I didn't feel that bad immediately after the op but guess I was still full of happy pain meds and pleased to be going home.

I too am impatient, however I have learned to take one step at a.time, so I do not drive myself crazy. It works. Do not consult Dr Google either - only information from trusted sources. And remember this cancer is treatable
If you have any questions post them here and get sensible, informed advice.
Leo
Thank you, when I do I will be sure to report back to encourage others in the same situation x
Hi Jane, glad you’re doing ok 3 days on,…but it’s only 3 days on. Think how you were worrying beforehand and since any signs showed, so lack of sleep, troubled mind blah blah. Now you can’t get comfortable, now you start wondering when you’ll get results and what they’ll be, and what’s next.!?
as Leo1 says, and I had to learn quickly too, one step, one day, and we all do that. Lack of energy is normal and expected don’t rush yourself.
you’ve done better than me after my first… took me 4 days before I could do No2 I learnt for the 2nd one
keep watching your cricket, there’s no rush
best wishes
