Got home about 7.30pm. Have a catheter in for a week. Bit of a scare as my bag wasn't filling. Spoke to ward nurses back at the hospital and they said if you are not feeling the urgent need to wee perhaps you are not drinking enough ? I had a lot of water during the day and to be honest was filling the bags at an epic rate ! Anyway drunk about 750ml and about an hour or so later we were very relieved to see a 200ml come through quite quickly. So much to learn on this journey.
Best wishes to yo all

Hi Bicyclegirl . Good to hear you are home safely. The bag usually starts off looking like red wine. It should gradually turn to Rose, and when it gets to look like chardonnay, things will be getting back to normal. Feet up for a couple of days. Best wishes.
I'm afraid at the moment I am very anxious. Trying to tell myself whatever will be will be and me thinking about it won't change anything
It’s common to feel anxious in these early stages. You have to take it a step at a time.It gets easier once all the tests are done, results are back and you know exactly what’s what.Love Jane x
Hi Bicycle girl, its really a worrying time and my heart goes out to you. The only thig i do for anxiety is breath work and meditation. Its no magic potion i am afraid

At least that's over, on my second Turbt I was sent home with cathetar for a week, which was bit uncomfortable and restricting but I just rested all week and then it was out. Just chill and watch lots of TV you don't normally have time for, read etc. Rest is the key.
Thank you, it's a very strange feeling that's for sure . Didn't sleep that well but I think an awareness of the catheter/bag etc limited my sleeping positions. Perhaps more mental that than real.
