Struggling to pee at all following TURBT

I would see if you can get an appointment at a Same Day Emergency Care unit if your hospital has one. Cuts out A&E and usually have Urologist Doctors on. I would try and get a bladder scan to see if he has a blockage. The Turbt leaves a lot of debris in the Bladder. It took me a week before i was peeing normally and i was constantly passing clots which can be quite painful when you Pee 

We have a same day emergency care but can only be referred by A and E. He still cant pee so looks like a trip to A and E. Thanks for the advice.

your local GP should be able to refer you to SDEC. Mine did this last week as i had an infection

Ended up on A and E bitvseen really fast. Catheter fitted.

That should help. Will probably just need more flushing. Make sure he drinks around 2 to 3 litres of water a day

A hot water bottle or wheat bag can help with the pain

As a doctor, I can tell you that it's not always a good idea to drink litres of water if you have fluid retention (risk of hydronephrosis). A urinary catheter needs to be inserted quickly

A and E fitted a catheter. Ultrasound showed a totally full bladder. After 5 days it is being removed. Just hope he can pee then. Thanks for all the help. Unfortunately we were in A and E for hours. We have sleep to catch up on.

Good new. Now that there  is a cathether it is necessary to drink a lot to "wash" the bladder.
