My cystoscopy Today showed inflammation and more suspicious cells. In 2 years So far I've had 4 operations, 3 to remove tumours or burn off areas and a kidney removed. I've had intravenous chemo, bladder chemo and the bugger keeps coming back . Luckily the bladder cancer is always superficial but when is it gonna stop !! And what's next after my next operation. How much more can my bladder take before they whip it out !? Anyone else having so many recurrences. ? I'd just like ONE clear cystoscooy !!
Hey Pugsy . Good to hear from you again, but sorry to hear you are still having continual problems. Hopefully the inflammation is just that and they can sort you out. I have had a few false alarms over the year with inflammation so know how you must be feeling. Keep your chin up. Best wishes.
Thanks Riley
Another biopsy and diathermy and then who knows. My last cystoscopy in August showed inflammation But they thought it could have been due the the mitymicin. Unfortunately today it was still there with added coral like areas ! It's sadly just become part of my life now, but I remain positive as I'm still here x
Hi Pugs. Not much of a consolation but maybe a bit of hope. My flexi a few months ago showed some flaky bits they were not sure of so had me back six weeks later. All gone. This thing just likes to keep us on our toes. All you can do is go with the flow and try not to worry too much in the in between times. Best wishes.
So just had my 5th operation and 4th TURBT in 2 years. This one seems harder as was sick after op and seem in more pain. They said 50 % of my bladder was affected and they are concerned about my remaining kidney . All seems superficial but just keeps coming back I'm more worried this time as I need that one kidney. Hopefully my Ct scan results which weren't back in time will show its ok. Looks like my final treatment option is BCG as mitymicin didn't work. Then if that's unsuccessfull I could lose thd bladder. I continue to have no real symptoms so it almost seems so unreal. I know I'm one of the lucky ones but would just like a break now. Anyone lost both kidneys ? And is Bcg as good as they all say I hope so xx
