Hi. My husband has his first meeting with the oncologist on Monday he has mibc and has been offered neoadjuvant chemo for 9 weeks followed by a scan then if chemo has been working 3 more weeks then he has a choice of bladder removal or chemoradiation. What happens with your first meeting and what questions should we ask. I shall be going armed with a notebook and pen so I can write everything down.
Hi . Good to know you will be taking notes. It is easy to forget everything that was said. Always ask to be copied in to the meeting notes. It makes more sense when you have things in black and white. I have the notes from all my consultations. You need to know stage and grade. What treatment options are most suitable. What sort of recovery times. Where treatments will be held. Remember each different consultant will usually promote their own speciality. You need to take a balanced view. I went the chemoradiation route so please ask if you have any questions about that. I hope all goes well on Monday. Best wishes.
Hi Channie1,Regarding cystectomy finding out how it may affect a sexual relationship afterwards Is a question to ask about.I hope the meeting goes well tomorrow.Best wishes Jane
