I recently had a cystoscopy performed 3 months after the removal of a low grade non muscle invasive tumour. This cystoscopy has found that a new tumour has appeared and also apparently some necrosis on the site of the original tumour. What is the significance of the necrosis is it something I should be particularly worried about.
Hi Glen1 . Sorry to hear you have a new tumour, but good to know they have found it and will deal with it. I had a similar report of necrosis on the site of a previous TURBT. I was told it was just dead tissue, but he booked me in to scrape it away and make sure nothing sinister was underneath, but all turned out ok. Best wishes.
