Hello
Had my bladder removed in March and the surgeon thought he had removed it all and it hadn’t spread anywhere outside of the bladder. However the scan I had in October shows it has returned in my pelvis, in the bone. Unable to sit down since September. Had a one off radiotherapy and a change of medication and since last weekend have manage to sit with my family for a meal, big achievement. I am on top of the pain too which is great. Starting chemotherapy next week and feeling very down this week since oncologist appointment last Monday. I have done nothing but cry this week. My partner has been great and my two sisters are coming for the weekend so they will cheer me up. I really hate being like this, I have known for weeks my cancer is terminal but talking about timescales on Monday and booking my chemotherapy has made it real. Don’t know what to expect next week, has anyone been through this who can offer any advice?
Anita
Hi Anita, not surprising you feel down, you must be exhausted after such a whirlwind of huge treatments in past 8 months. Glad to hear you have your partner, family and sisters to support you. Hope medics can keep you plain free so you can spend this precious time making warm memories with those you love. Hx
