Hi does any one here have any experience with a small sized polyp/ mass… I have a 5x4mm polyp accidentally found which is causing me great distress while awaiting tests..I have no symptoms of any sorts ..thank you
Hi Maw, my tumour was much larger than yours and when I was in that very uncomfortable and terrifying period between discovery and diagnosis , I was desperate to know what the chances of it being benign were. I’m sure by this point you’ve failed to resist the temptation to google the stats and found that benign bladder tumours represent a very small percentage of bladder masses.Having said this , the size of yours is minuscule compared to the size of most discovered which, regardless of how this goes, is a very early and fortunate discovery. To give perspective , my tumour was discovered by an ultrasound while examining my prostate, it was followed by a cystoscopy and right there the uro could tell that it was a very dangerous variant and even though it was not confirmed until after my first turp these experienced docs can take a very good guess as to the urgency by just looking at it. Even though my tumour was only T1 , it was sarcomatoid and was strongly advised by 3 expert Uro surgeons to get my bladder out ASAP. I did , got a neobladder and consider myself so very fortunate that they found mine early . I only tell you this to demonstrate that there are some very positive aspects to your situation and those are ones you should dwell on. Life is great , stay positive about yours . Your going to be alright. Orillia.
I have indeed been terrified and googled it!! Have been trying to stick with forums to talk to actual people about their experiences! I’m absolutely terrified about my app..has it grown, is it worse than they think, what’s my life going to be like ..thinking bout my children ..I am only 36 :( it was found accidentally while looking at my ovary … I’m exhausted from over thinking and worrying!
