Finally at the end of the induction course...
Unfortunately my "angel" nurse was on holiday and the nurse who came was not as good: he was a little too "quick" in both going in and coming out ... so now I have been peeing blood for the last 5 n.2 ... Which made me think that this may be the reason why some people think they cannot take the treatment ... If I had such "rough" treatment all the times I think by the 3rd or 4th week I would have had to stop ... I have been lucky that I had a very very good nurse who has done the treatment and I have always felt nothing. I was always surprised when the treatment had finished "already??". This time "God, let's this end soon!!". Luckily, as I said, the guy was *very* quick. Now obviously I am worried about UTI and that the BCG has gone where it should not ... I know: drink plenty of fluids!!
Well, let's hope the next cystoscopy is good ... Don't know yet, a few weeks, months ...
Good day and good luck to all!
Marco
Hope all’s good Marco and not to sore totally agree with you about the nurses I have had 2 really bad experiences and the rest absolute heaven this lady called Doris she’s an older lady tells me to wiggle my toes then says what you wiggling your toes for your done she is indeed an angel
Hi Marco. Well done at getting through your induction. I've not experienced BCG but have had over 20 flexible cystoscopies over the years. I know that some practitioners can be a bit more heavy handed than others. Most have been ok, but I have had a few that made my eyes water. Good luck on your follow up check. Best wishes.
Yes, my "angel" is called Catherine. She is fairly young. I remember the laughs. The first time my toes went wiggling (apparently it is normal!!) and she said "And there you go, the toes are starting". I laughed and said "Ah, who, those? They have a mind of their own!". And laughed through all of the first session! Heaven.
