I have had a cystocopy on 12th July which found a tumour in my bladder. I have a TURBT booked for 12th August. I had a CT scan last week & have just received a letter with the results. My GP is unable to explain very much & the Urology dept is off for a long weekend. I have emailed them though.

The tumour is in the lower right side of my bladder & seems to be growing over the tube from my right kidney. I have had 2 manual prostate checks, both of which seemed ok.

I would be grateful if anyone could shed any light on what this means please? What is going to happen?

I have received the result of the CT scan you had on the 21 of July 2021. It showed that there is part of your bladder that is thickened and was noted on a previous cystoscopy. We know about the presence of a mass in that area, but the CT showed the thickening to be involving the prostate, seminal vesicles and the left lateral wall of the bladder.

These images need to be reviewed and discussed in our Urology Multi Disciplinary Team Meeting and we will await your procedure and discuss both the procedure pathology and the CT scan to have a consensus regarding what will be the best next step in your management. I can confirm that you are at the top of our waiting list and should receive a date on an urgent basis.
