Hi everyone, just had a call from the hospital, been given a date for having my picc fitted, 16/10 and then starting treatment on 23/10
Cant lie, im a little apprehensive but we keep moving forward
Hi, thank you for reaching out
Oh my days, thats not even the half of it, ive also had to change gp surgery and have started the complaints procedure witj an advocacy service, lessons need to be learnt across the board
Hi nicola,
As ive just put in the other reply, thats just a couple of instances in a multitude of failings in things that could have been dealt with a lot easier, ive had to change gp surgery on top of everything and have started the complaints procedure with an advocacy service, i have already had my 1st appt with the new gp, the difference is night and day, have another appt with him this thurs and have my prep appt at the hospital on friday, i have also had 2 letters with conflicting times as to what time my 1st treatment appt is, one says 2 o'clock and one says 4 o'clock, needless to say I rang to check the incompetence and its definitely o'clock
2 o'clock, don't know why the 2 was missed off!
My son works for the NHS and he has some shocking stories to tell. Well done for taking your complaints forward. Its really inexcusable when we are already stressed. I'm certainly going to feedback by concerns.
