Hello everyone sorry not been on here in a while, I’ve had good days but a lot of bad days too. After treatment healing took about 4 weeks or so ( to be able to wear knickers again ) so I was buzzin about that, but then the anxiety set in and yes I’ve had it before after I had a brain haemorrhage a fair few years ago, so luckily I knew what it was. The doctor gave me sertraline which helps a lot, but then I started feeling very low and not really getting out of bed ( my bedroom has been my safe space through all of this) I am a very lucky lady that has a very supportive partner but I even started pushing him out too. Anyway we booked a holiday as a get to know each other again thing, and omg it was lovely!!! Even had sex first the first time in forever! Apparently I’m a a little bit tighter down below ( lucky man ) and I bled after ( not sure if that’s normal ) but it made me feel like me again. So that’s my story so far and I hope that if anyone on here felt a connection to how I have then feel free to let me know. Ohhh one last thing, I still have bad diarrhoea unless I take a tablet everyday and I think this is my new normal for the foreseeable ( thank god for Imodium) Thanks for listening and sorry if you feel I’m a bit too honest.Take care xx

  • Hello Maljay

    I love your honesty.

I just started my treatment so it's lovely to hear that things can start to feel better again.

I can't offer any support about the diahhrea, but I am sure we have members with shared experiences.

Wishing you many more happy holiday.

    Ally xx

  • It’s good to hear from you  & I’m pleased that things seem to be looking up for you. You’ll hopefully find the diarrhoea will lessen with time.

    Take care.

Thank you so much for coming back and posting this (and giving hope to all these ladies who are worried about having sex after treatment!)  Your account will give huge hope that life can get back to normal - a new normal, maybe but hugely enjoyable nonetheless!

Your honesty is just what is needed.

    Big hug

    Irene xx

  • Thank you Irene and I hope your well xx

  • Hi Maljay,

Good to hear from you, It sounds like you went through a difficult time post treatment but that you’ve overcome a lot.
Great that you had a good holiday and have reconnected with your partner. Hope you have many more great times.
Hopefully the diarrhoea will settle and improve.

    Wishing you well x
