This is my first post here
I was diagnosed with anal cancer in may
I have gone through 6 weeks of radiotherapy and chemo tablets
From week 2 I had side effects from the treatment
The radiotherapy caused blisters and sores in my vaginal and anal area I was bleeding and by week 4 I was begging to take a break by week 5 I wanted to stop I cried every day and was in so much pain I was actually crying out
The radiographers had to help me onto the machine with blood and weeping sores all over my gown
I have finished my treatment 4 weeks ago and still suffering but I am healing
Yesterday I saw my oncologist and she told me that I have 2 pieces of skin that has formed across my vagina and I will have to have it surgically removed so I am now waiting for a gynecologist appointment
I wish I never had radiotherapy I am so angry with all my pain and suffering
I can only just walk properly and still have issues sitting down
Has anyone else experienced this
