Hi all,
hopefully someone will remember my story ridetbred you were kind enough to message me a lot back then, appreciate it.
im coming upto the 5 year clear mark..its so amazing, given my prognosis of 12m but also gives me such a strange feeling, hence being back here.
I’ve really struggled over the past 5 years, post treatment getting on with life.
I have daily aches and pains, always think it’s cancer. I suffer with menopausal symptoms - which no one seems to acknowledge as I’m now nearly 42, all of my friends are also perimenopausal so just say oh I get that. Not quite the same though,
I also struggle with vaginal stenosis still, I don’t think it’s improving, I just avoid it doing anything intimate as much as I can, which isn’t fair on my husband.
anyway, sounds like a moan, which it’s not meant to be. More of a wow how did I get here moment, very greatful, but equally just as nervous for upcoming scans.
all being well il be completely discharged which brings joy but anxiety.
Just wandering how everyone else is doing and how you felt at this stage.
best wishes everyone and to all those going through treatment or in the early stages, keep going keep focused and keep asking questions and keep being as positive as you can, it gets you through the hard times
best wishes
kerrie
