Hi everyone
I'm after some advice. I finished my treatment last Thursday and i was warned that the following weeks would be tough. Yes, it's excruciating going to the toilet for a poop (how long does this last?) But also going for a wee, oh my the pain. It burns like crazy, it's very red inside and I feel like I haven't much control. I have blistering of the skin and broken raw skin in between my bum cheeks all the way to the front and top, inside of my legs. I can cope with this, it's just the trips to the toilet. Your advice would be much appreciated
Many thanks
Jacqui
Hi SarahLoo,
Thanks for the recommendation--and boy, can I relate to the yearning for a normal toilet visit! You and I are at the exact same point (three days post), and I completely agree that this forum is a lifesaver. It is so relieving to find people with similar experience either to get advice from or to commiserate with!
Wishing that the next couple weeks pass quickly for you--and me too!
Hi Jacqui,
Thanks for this recommendation. I have some benadryl around the house so I'll try that tonight. If it helps with sleep, that's great, too! Xx
Hi Sarah ,
I remember a big improvement start of third week post treatment and then it improved quite quickly and I soon started feeling human again . I think several people felt better earlier than this, it’s seems individual.
I still get itchy from time to time but nothing as bad as it was . I put on a bit of anusol cream now and that seems to help .
Hope you feel better soon , you have all my sympathy . I felt hopefully it’s pain for a short time with good results .
Best wishes x
This is where time travel should be a thing… fast forward a few weeks and we’ll be on the mend!
take care
xx
Anti-histamines sometimes helps - nothing worse than an itch that you can't have a good old scratch! Irene xx
Flaminal hydro really helped me out. Cutting out caffiene made peeing so much easier. I also kept a packet of water wipes and the flaminal hyrdo (and any other creams) in the fridge meaning they provided instant relief. Best of look with post treatment <3
