Can anyone help? I finished chemoradiation 14 days ago and for a few days my appetite has got worse and worse. I am trying but it is difficult. I had no side effects at all from the chemotherapy and the radiotherapy during treatment. I have had a very sore bottom for a couple of weeks but that is easing now. Thank goodness for the sitz bath!!

  • Dear Irene. It's touching how comforting getting support from people who understand the grief of losing a precious friend is.  I am filling up with that lovely story. Elmo's Garden must be bringing so much comfort to so many. People who have left items must get so much comfort as they go past and think of their beloved pet. That is one of the loveliest things I've heard. Thank you for sharing. Much love Martin

  • Martin, I tried to download a photograph because it is so lovely but capturing the image in a downloadable format from my daughter's Whatsapp pictures is beyond me.

One family even put a tiny Christmas Wreath on the tree at Christmas with a note from the parents saying they visit with their small daughter every time they pass on their way to school.

You really aren't alone in your feelings, Martin.

  • I find it really moving that the tribute that has come out of your own grief has helped others to deal with theirs. And that they appreciate it and let you know it. This of course reflects on yourself and your family. The help and support you have given to me and others has helped us all no end. Thank You again. Martin

  • Martin, I managed!

And also a photograph of my grandson (severe ADHD and anxiety) with his ragdoll and cockapoo.

Thank you Martin too - it is only a reflection of the care on here that I have also had.

  • What lovely photos and such a nice thing to do in remembrance of Elmo. A magical little space and I can see why the children love and respect it. Really nice of you to share. X

  • Thank you for sharing those photos. So moving.
