Had my planning appointment today and tattoos that I was dreading and were surprisingly painless - I was relieved they were on my hips and pubic area rather than actually on my anal area which is where my head was at the past few days :)

So anyone starting the same time as me?

hit me up with face and body moisturiser recommendations  - I’m assuming I need simple formulas - my usual face cream is Elemis but I think I should get something simpler? Also hand and foot creams? My oncology registrar was insistent I should look after my nails. I don’t have a body / hand regime so I will need to start doing that….

I have the Strata XRT ready so I’m hoping that will be worth it.

  • Hi I used e45 at the beginning and then moved on to aveeno they along with aloe vera gell 99.9% were the only moisturisers my hospital ok'd. I know another lady on here used coconut oil. I didn't pay particular attention to my hands or feet and had no issues ( we are all different though), i can see on my toenails where I had chemo but that will grow out. Good luck for the 7th you will soon be on the otherside and getting back to life. Sending hugs. Xx

  • Hi

I bought e45.. used it a few times..but to be honest the aveeno was my best buy..still using it now..I lathered on the flamigel that the hospital provide as well.. jusvon my pelvic perineum and bottom area...

My nails.. I made sure I used hard as nails once a week as my nails did go very thin and tear..

My face creams just kept using what I always used and was fine..

For my hair.. used a very mild shampoo and conditioner.. myve washed it every 4 or 5 days but didn't use hair dryer or straighteners .. and useca soft brush.. my hair ( thank god) escaped unaffected .

I bought lip balm as well and bonjella as I got cracked lips and a few ulcers...but nothing too major..

Good luck with your treatment.. sending you lots of positive thoughts Sparkles️
