  • Hello

Mt name is Steph and I’m part of the team who looks after the Online Community here at Macmillan. May I wish you another warm welcome to the Community, although I’m sorry that circumstances bring you here. I hope you find the site to be a safe place of comfort and kindness.

I am sorry that you have adrenal cancer, it sounds like it has been quite a shock diagnosis. It sounds particularly difficult that you were pregnant and that your baby was born early and then removed from your care.

It's really important that you have some professional support around you, Stace87el. Do you have a trusted person that you can talk to? This could be your social worker, a nurse or your GP.

If your baby has been taken into care, there is some advice here from the Citizens Advice Bureau.  If you would like to contact the Citizens Advice Bureau, you can find all the ways to get in touch here. You may also be able to find some support from an organisation called The Family Rights Group.

For support with cancer, our Support Line teams are here for you if you have any questions, or just want to talk everything through with someone who is there to listen. Our Support Line teams are available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00email or live webchat.

There's also lots of support available in this forum, if you have questions about your cancer treatment, or want to talk about how you're feeling. If you'd like some help with using the Online Community, please do reach out to us by email at community@macmillan.org.uk

I hope that this message helps you find the support that you're looking for, please do reach out to one of the organisations listed above for help as a parent.
