I had an early morning outpatients appointment today, and woke feeling very good, even did some tidying up before I went. Then I had a collapse of energy. As I waited for nurse to try and get a cannula in me, felt really rough. Wanted to give up and die. As the platelets went in I felt a bit better, but what really perked me up was eating a scone. I've noticed before that a good helping of something carbohydrate helps me when I'm feeling depleted. My haemoglobin was over 90 which they felt didn't need a top up.
When doctor went through my blood results, he said he was very happy, reduced my chemo tablets and said my inflammatory markers were going down.
I tend not to like things that are overtly sweet, like too many biscuits, but seem to have this need for cereal based products. Anyone else experienced anything similar ?
Tessa
Oh Tessa, such a rollercoaster of emotions but who would have thought a scone could have such an effect...... a little bit of what you face?
Can’t say that I noticed a craving or need for cereal based foods but my wife says that I will turn into a boiled egg as I have two every morning, she even has one and says her finger nails have never been this good.
Lets look for more light in this tunnel you are walking ((hugs))
