Just wondering if anybody else had experience of having appendicitus whilst receiving treatment for Leukemia. Husband has had stomach pains for a while and they've finally given him a CT scan and literally just told him he has this- which they are going to try and control with anti biotics. obviously cant have surgery. Worried sick doesnt even come close !! oh and an inflammed bowel !
Sorry to hear this Fur baby mummy no experience for me but I have talked with others who had various ‘other’ health issues during treatment and indeed Stem Cell Transplant.
One person had to get stents put in as there was problems with their heart another had their spleen out and two women actually went through treatment for AML including pre SCT chemo, had their babies and basically went straight into SCT conditioning chemo
Lets look for the antibiotics to do the job ((hugs))
Thank you Mike as always x
After the Dr visit this morning we were told that obviously it’s not as simple as appendicitis - it’s a large bowel infection with an undetermined “mass” ! They have spoken to surgical but have said they really don’t want to go down that route obviously.!
so in limbo now waiting to see if the anti biotics will work, they were back to back this morning - awaiting another scan in a couple of days.
when they say it’s a roller coaster they not blinking well wrong !!
Let’s look for the rollercoaster to slow down
((hugs))
