Hi

I am due my last chemo treatment for ovarian cancer next week, and have been given the OK to go to New Zealand to visit my son and granddaughter.

I know that I am going to be hit hard for the cost of travel insurance, if I can indeed get insured.

Has anyone any experience or have been successful in getting long haul travel insurance please/

Best wishes

  • Hi, was advised to try my bank after my cancer ops as we wanted to go to the states and was really surprised at the cost with nationwide. It was £13 per month for worldwide and we also got cover for our phones, iPads and computers plus breakdown cover for our cars. We did have to pay additional yearly fee of £40 for my husbands high blood pressure but nothing for my cancer which I am on 6 monthly checks for.  Monthly price is now £18 per month as just gone up.  Hope this helps.
