Travel insurance with AXA health

Hi all,

I am new to this group and I was diagnosed with lung cancer in April.  I'm a traveler and now that I'm planning my next trip I realized it's harder to get travel insurance and expansive.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience after some help from the forum.

I had a quote from InsuranceWith which wasn't too bad when they do cover the condition but with £700 excess!  Then I saw someone posted something about private health insurance and that if you are with AXA health you can get travel insurance from them to add onto your policy even if its a group policy.

And it's even cheaper than InsuranceWith and only £50 excess, also you don't have to declare any conditions as long as not terminal and they will cover them.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative

Thanks very much for taking the time to bring to the attention of people with Axa Health Insurance that they can also get travel insurance through this company. It can be difficult to get reasonably priced travel insurance after a cancer diagnosis so this could be really helpful.

  • Thanks for letting us know about this, I have private medical insurance through Axa Health so will definitely contact them about travel insurance when mine comes up for renewal in Jan with insurefor.com

  • Just wondering if you were successful as we have AXA health insurance

  • Wilbert,I haven’t contacted Axa Health yet, but will do as it maybe cheaper than my current provider
