Hi my husband has just been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in his pelvic bone, we are going away in Sept and have managed to get insurance, one of the questions was " has the tumour increased or decreased since his last scan? We were not sure how to answer this, as he has only had one scan and the word tumour was never mentioned, has anyone else had this question, not sure how to answer, the stress of find insurance is making me a nervous wreck he was only diagnosed 3 months ago
Hibbie
I always call insurance companies direct.
I never use comparison sites as these issues often come along….. by phoning you can talk these things through and the person on the other end can make the necessary adjustments.
Hi Mike how are you, we spoke when George had DLBCL, he is now in full remission, but unfortunately his prostate cancer has moved to his pelvic bone, what a nightmare, but he is on treatment now so hopefully things will improve, on the whole he is good, getting on with life. As you can see we are trying to sort out travel insurance, he already has an annual cover but we needed to amend this, we told them exactly what the consultant discussed with us, but they kept mentioning tumours, we told them that tumours was never mentioned, but can't seem to get around this question, we are waiting on a call from the hospital 're this, I'm so stressed with all this, just when we thought we had things sorted this pops up, that's me had my rant, hope we can get this cleared up, even the lovely lady we spoke could offer is any advice as she is not medically trained, fingers crossed for us ,
Bonnie (Linda)
Hi again Linda Hibbie sorry for not recognising your name….. I am well but sorry to hear about George’s new challenges.
Good that you are trying to get clarity from his team….. the language used can be very confusing….. I do hope you can get this sorted out soon ((hugs))
