Just sharing a bit of info others might find useful.
As a Disabled person who now also has Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), I was hitting a double-whammy when I searched for travel insurance. I was looking to go to Australia, New Zealand and USA and couldn't believe how many places wouldn't even quote, and how much the two companies who would wanted to charge. What I learnt during the process is that, when I dropped the USA off my itinerary, the price drops by around £3,000! Yes, you read right
By replacing USA with Costa Rica - just to try and find out what the biggest cost was: me or my destination - I found my quote dropped from £4,665 to £1,665. So, you'll not be very surprised that I'm now going to Australia, NZ and Costa Rica!!
