Hi,
I am trying to find travel insurance for a member of my family who has cancer.
A couple of insurance providers have asked whether the cancer is incurable or terminal. This is not something we have explicitly asked. We would prefer not to ask this question so I wonder if anyone has experience of this in the past and how we ascertain whether a diagnosis is incurable or terminal without physically asking medical professionals?
Many thanks
Hi Kitl
I can totally understand that your relative may prefer not to know if their cancer is classed as incurable or terminal but if this is something that the insurance companies are asking then, unfortunately, their medical team is going to have to be asked. Would your relative give permission to their hospital team for you to be able to ask on their behalf?
