My hubby won a holiday recently - long story but anyway we are looking at Mexico all Inclusive for Feb next year. This truly is a won holiday with none of that nasty small print,
We can go earlier but there is a specific reason why we have looked at Feb 20.
I was diagnosed in April this year stage 4 with small volume in bone, So am on Chemo tablets and Leterzole.
I need sign off from hospital to get insurance and when speak to BCN she did not say yes or no just see how the treatment goes as its too early to say.
I know I don't have to get insurance until just before we travel so should I take the chance and book it or am I being too positive and should we go earlier whilst I am still ok
Any advice or experience of booking holidays a while ahead is appreciated.

Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to find travel insurance when you have had a cancer diagnosis.
I've already replied to your post in the breast cancer group but just for the benefit of anyone else who reads this post then it is always sensible to buy your travel insurance at the same time as buying your holiday so that you're covered for cancellation, etc.
I don't know whether you've looked through the Recommended Travel Insurance thread yet as it's where we try to keep recommendations from other forum members who have obtained travel insurance. Clicking on the link I've created will take you directly to it if you haven't seen it.
It is best to phone the travel companies rather than try and do online quotes. Make sure you have all the information to hand about your husband's diagnosis and treatment before contacting the insurers. This is a list of common questions that insurers might ask when you're applying for insurance.
As you know, some insurers will ask for a letter from your doctor to prove that they have given you permission to travel. In any case it's always best to make sure that you have checked with your doctor that it's okay to travel and that this has been recorded in your notes in case of a claim.
