Hi there I’m due to go on holiday in 8wks to Spain for my daughters wedding. I’m 6yrs post SCT for MDS/AML and 3yrs post relapse after transplant- I’m fit and well, back at work on a haematology day Unit - working 3 10hr shifts a week - just gone on a comparison site and only got 2 quotes - one for £950 and one for over £1000 which I’m not gonna pay. Anyone got any recommendations? Thankyou claire x

  • Hi and welcome to the travel insurance group

I'm glad to hear that you're fit and well and looking forward to going to Spain for your daughter's wedding.

Unfortunately, as you have found, it can be more difficult to find reasonably priced travel insurance when you have had a cancer diagnosis.

Have you had chance to look through the Recommended Travel Insurance thread yet as it's where we try to keep recommendations from other forum members who have obtained travel insurance? If not, clicking on the link I've created will take you to it and you might find some companies that you haven't tried yet.

Most people recommend that you phone the travel companies rather than try and do online quotes as it's easier to explain to someone than try to do it online.

I do hope that you can get some reasonably priced travel insurance and that you have a great time!
