Hi everyone
I have been with my partner only a year. He was diabetic in August with oesophageal junction cancer, lymph nodes and advanced liver mets. He is now on second line chemo.
Chemo is on hold at present due to him not recovering well from the 2nd cycle of 2nd line chemo. He had a CT yesterday and we see the oncologist tomorrow for a plan. He has become so weak, barely managing a shake and struggles to climb the stairs. He is so painfully thin. I fear that they will say he cannot continue treatment.
I have been signed off work since his diagnosis and started living with him. I am now starting to have to shower him and help him dress. It is unbearably sad to watch him deteriorate. I had been single for 10 years pretty much before I met him .. and now we will never have our happy ever after.
xx
Hi LuluT56 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, I'm so sorry that your partner is so poorly. I haven't been in your situation , as I was the one with cancer, but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
Sending virtual (((hugs)))
