My mum has been diagnosed with cancer. It has already spread to breast, liver, lung, womb and brain. We dont know where it started from and she has refused all invasive tests and treatment. Which I do understand but have found it difficult to come to terms with. She is 76 and has given up. I have no idea how to support her or even what to expect.
any advice would be greatly appreciated
Hi Jojo90 - sorry to read about your Mum. Are you in contact with hospital or hospice staff. They are there to support you along with your Mum. Our local hospice are amazing and have a 24/7 number we can call, as well as lots of support. I would encourage you to reach out for help - it is out there, but may not be obvious. Also the Macmillan helpline can offer support. Do you have other family and friends around you? It’s good to talk to others and as people keep telling me - look after you as well as your Mum - which I know is easier said than done, but it’s very good advice xxx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
