My Mum is at home following a spell in hospital. I have been pleasantly surprised at the support available for her in terms of carers and aids. She lives alone so this is hugely important for us as a small family. It was been an overwhelming week though and information overload. I have been given so many leaflets and phone numbers and it has been alot to take in and digest. Yesterday was a fairly good day in amongst this difficult journey. To be honest, I’m taking whatever small positives and glimmers of light that comes our way right now. Sending huge love to those of you that are also dealing with this - it’s tough x
Hi orange lily
Thank you for your message, I know when my wife was first diagnosed the sense of information overload but at the time I did not reach out for any help and I now recognize that as a big mistake for me.
One of the songs that reaches out to me now is Lean on me by Bill Withers
Lean on me
When you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on...
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need somebody to lean on
<<hugs>>
Steve
