Hi All.
my sister (66) has terminal cancer which came back after first being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. She was told in Jan she has a few months to a year to live, and in the last few weeks she has gone down hill fast. Tonight she blacked out standing up and can no longer climb the stairs, I had to carry her up To bed tonight.
I have noticed she has lots of what looks like bruises over her skin which has started in the past week or so, is that a common thing?
it’s hard to see her down go hill like this, we just want to support her.
Hi there. I’m so sorry to hear how quickly things are progressing for your Sister. We are going through a very similar situation since my Sister stopped her treatment s month ago. Things have moved so quickly and we are struggling to process this. This week we have noticed she has a number of these bruises also and her partner and I are concerned. He is calling the Marie Curie team tomorrow to ask their advice. She is spending all of her time lying down now so we are close to needed a hospital bed for her which is incredibly hard to accept. I feel your sadness and wish things could be different for your Sister. I hope you get the advice you need. Take care.
So sorry to hear you are suffering too. Her bruise like makes are coming up during the day.. in the morning none on one area, then in the afternoon she has more.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
