Hi all. My wife has been fighting cancer for the last few years. We found out three days ago she has only now been given a few weeks to live. I have two sons aged 17 and 18. My life has ended. I can't eat. I don't want to wake up and face the day. There is no way out. No easing of pain. The nightmare begins every night and every morning. I'm at a loss.
Hello
I don’t know what to say I just wanted to say something.
My husnand has just been diagnosed with incurable lung cancer and we have a five year old son, the pain is unbearable and no one should go through this
I am so sad for you I am sure you have but maybe call the doctor for some help medically ?
Dawnie, thank you for your message. May God be with you all during this terrible time. I am thinking of you. The doctors only say ' you have to go through this ' and that's all. They don't understand the pain. They don't understand anything. A few sleeping tablets and that's it. I don't want to go to bed and I don't want to get up and face the day again.
Hello Brian,
I am so sorry welcome you hear and for what terrible news you and your family have received.
The terminal diagnosis is truly crippling, no one should have to feel that pain. There are though so many wonderfully helpful organisations who can support (as well as finding any comfort and support you can here). Ive listed a couple here that might be of some help (as they were for me):
Macmillan have centers all around the UK which offer emotional support and information for anyone affected by cancer
Maggie's is a support charity for anyone affected by cancer, they have centres through the UK that offer a wide range of support.
There is also the Macmillan Support line which you can reach at 0808 808 00 00, it is there to provide confidential emotional support every day of the year, even if all you need is a listening ear.
I really am sending all my best to you and your family and am here if i can offer any support or guidance.
All the best,
Lucie - Juicestool
