Dad fought a bloody hard battle since his first diagnosis last September, with an initial 50% chance of beating it, 7 weeks of intense radiotherapy, 4 of chemo, multiple hospital stays, two blue light trips and many wonderful talks, laughs and love we were told on the 25th March (my 30th birthday) we now had months, best a year.
Since then we had made many plans, received many donations from friends and family to make these wishes come true, spent days together with his beautiful granddaughters and said everything.
But time was cut short, last Monday morning he didn’t wake up, we spent the next two days cuddling him, singing and reminiscing before he passed peacefully on Wednesday morning.
My heart is broken, but it’s also full of love and pride, so it will mend.
Love you Dad, my first love and my biggest hero! xxx
