I found out that my mum has terminal lung cancer, she says her lymph nodes are swollen and another gland I can't remember what the name is. I am really struggling to come to terms with her diagnosis.

Hi Kaz
Thank you for reaching out here, It is such a shock to hear of a terminal diagnosis of a loved one, but you are in the right place... I don't know how recent your Mum's diagnosis is, but hopefully there will be several options for her to consider treatment wise...as hard as the world terminal is, it often does not mean imminent, that though was how I understood the word when I was told of my Husbands OC diagnosis back in May...
It took me a few weeks to get my head into a better place, the shock drowns out so much of the information we are offered early on, so I hope that you and Mum will be provided more information to help you both understand next steps in managing her condition.
There are many people here who will be able to specifically relate to Mums diagnosis, https://community.macmillan.org.uk/cancer_types/lung-cancer-forum if you haven't already found this group, click on the link.
Wishing you both all the very best
