My dad has terminal lung cancer and has been suffering with itchiness. He is often cold but if he wraps himself up or turns up the heating the itchiness becomes worse with the heat. It is like an uncontrollable under the skin itch that is painful and difficult to satisfy. He has tried anti-allergen treatment and many creams but has not found anything that works. Has anyone else had experience of this and found a treatment that helps?
Hi
I'm sorry to hear that your dad is suffering with an uncontrollable itch. It must be extremely unpleasant for him.
It might be a good idea to join and post your question in the lung cancer group as there may be someone there who has experienced the same thing. Clicking on this link community.macmillan.org.uk/.../ will take you there.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your dad's journey into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
