Last year my dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer, he went through FLOT Intense chemo, got a total gastrectomy then more post op chemo. He should now be on the road to recovery but has just been told secondary petritoneal cancer back and theres nothing they can do. Dr has sent him home to enjoy whatever time he has left. Im so confused and devasted.
Has anyone had similar experience?
Lost my dad 8 weeks ago to advanced renal cancer. His last year was awful and I thought the end had come many times, but then when it did, I realised it really was the end, as it was different and thankfully more peaceful than I thought. Losing him has been so tough and the grief is raw, but the stress of seeing him suffer is over, if that makes sense, so it’s a different pain. My dad was in hospital for his last 8 weeks..he was discharged home and told he had a few months, but died 5 days later.
Thinking of you both at this time x
