Low Iodine Diet - pre Iodine Radiotherapy treatment

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and although I've not been on a low iodine diet, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

I would normally recommend that you post your question in the cancer group specific to your type of cancer but I can see you've already done that and, unfortunately, not had any replies yet. You could post in the ask a nurse section of the online community or speak to one of the nurses on the Macmillan Support Line to see if they can help. Click on the link I've created for the online nurses or call 0808 808 0000 to speak to a nurse between 8am and 8pm.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. i start my Iodine Radiotherapy treatment tomorrow morning so the diet will stop in the morning lol - I’ve learned a lot and even been baking my own bread - I think on reflection the stomach pains were related to the increase in acidic foods that I had to consume e.g. much more fruit and no dairy 

if anyone is embarking on this type of diet would recommend antacids if required
