6th Feb Christies Radiotherapy Day 15 of 30
In the words of BON JOVI Oh we're half way there Oh Oh
Only problem so far is a little swelling to the side of the neck being treated, dry mouth and past couple of days feeling a bit more tired than usual.
The first week I was very anxious about being pinned down by the dreaded 'MASK' but now got used to it. It's normally the following -
: getting pinned down by mask then a quick scan
:check scan to check alignment
:start 2 passes of radiotherapy
Total time = 8 to 10 minutes
Radiographers talk to you via the intercom and let you know where they're up to and give you words of encouragement.
All.in all a lot less daunting than I imagined it would be. I hope this gives a little relief and comfort to people who have this to go through on their journey.

Hello AC03
Cracking post and I am pleased for you that it's going well - and indeed having read your profile am going to go into t-shirt printing - I could make a fortune
As an aside I had 20 fractions of Radiotherapy to the Prostate and Pelvic Lymph Nodes at Christies in Oldham and the staff were amazing.
I wish you well with fractions 16 to 30.
Best wishes - Brian.
