I understand you must not put greasy creams on scars before radiotherapy. How long before do you have to stop? And is E45 cream OK to use up to the day before? I tried to put this in Ask A Nurse but it's not taking questions at the moment.
Hi Ma78
I have just responded to your other post suggesting that you give the Support Line a call and to ask one of the nurses. That would be the quickest way of finding out.

Hi
This reply may well be too late but here goes.
I had six weeks radiotherapy to my neck and throat. I was told that moisturiser should not be used before RT so I simply washed my face and neck every morning before treatment. Straight after in the car on the way home I used aloe vera gel which I am convinced stopped me burning. As a moisturiser I was given Diprobase but I found that too greasy so bought my own Cetraben
