Hello
I have done a little micro volunteering with MacMillan and I am wondering if there is more ways I can volunteer from home. The sign posting links eventually brought me here. I have experience of being ill but not with Cancer but I do understand what it is like being really ill. Other family members have had cancer.
Hi Rhiannonh, and a warm welcome to the Online Community.
I'm Dylan from the Online Community Team.
Thank you so much for wanting to give your time to volunteer with Macmillan and support people affected by cancer. It's wonderful to hear that you've already done some micro-volunteering and are looking for other ways to get involved.
Our Online Community is a peer-to-peer support space for people living with cancer, as well as their family members, friends and carers. You're very welcome to join any forum that's relevant to your experience. As you've mentioned that family members have had cancer, you may find our Family and friends forum a good place to connect with others, share your experiences, offer support to other members and receive support yourself.
If you're looking for other volunteering opportunities with Macmillan, you can find more information on our volunteering webpage: Volunteering at Macmillan
I hope you're able to find a volunteering role that's right for you, and thank you again for wanting to support people affected by cancer.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
