Hi all, was diagnosed with the above last June after a pain in my groin wouldn't go away.  I'm on the young side for this and the futures uncertain.  I found researching the condition (with some circumspect) helped me come to terms with it but at times it still seems surreal.  If only i could wake up!  My wife's been fantastic (as always) but with lockdown we're both feeling the strain now.  Chemo as affected my feet and so decreased my mobility, having regular blood tests and cancer is in good remission, but lots of aches and pains to constantly remind me that it still lurking under the surface, what joy!

  • Hi  and warm welcome to the Macmillan Online Community but sorry that you had to find us and especially sorry to hear about your diagnosis and ongoing challenges.

I see that you have joined and connected into our supportive Myeloma group, this will be a good place to connect with patients and families navigating the same type of cancer journey.

I also noticed that you have had a Stem Cell Transplant, I had two Allo (donor) SCT for my rare type of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. So you may want to join and post on our dedicated Stem cell transplant group.
