Hi I had a abnormal smear test back I was classed as high I had treatment and sent off for biopsy..

Received a letter 4 weeks on to see consultant..

Yesterday had my appointment with Consultant to go e me biopsy results to him saying they be keeping a close monitoring on me and the results ssy the precancer cell showed Cancer..

I had a loop done yesterday also which is yet sent off for biopsy again...

Does anyone know what to expect or if what they took first time as now gone and I no longer have cancer there?

I felt they were shielding me but I was so anxious I could be looking to far much into it all..

I asked nurse what next and if gone her reply was "one step at a time" again I didn't ask what this meant.

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to hear all that you've been through and it's natural to have lots of questions.

The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the cervical cancer group which is a great place to ask questions, share experiences and get support from others who have been through the same procedures as yourself.

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
