Hi all,

Very  new to chatting, not new to cancer.

I realise I should of done this quite a while ago.

I got diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour of the Pancreas

4 years ago this November. I had major surgery and very lucky to say, it was removed and

I am here to tell the tale.

Somewhere along the way in my yearly CT scan 2 years ago they found a tumour on my right breast.

Consequently, and here we go again I had a right breast mastectomy and full lymph node removal.

This was followed my chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Shortened though because of covid.19.

I am really not used to reaching out! Who is.?  I am struggling however what with the virus ,lockdown etc on top.

My family have certainly dealt with the wrath of my moods.

Whilst in treatment, there are things to deal with, after, a sort of void of not much going on.

Until the next appointment with the fear of the dreaded thing resurfacing.

I don't wish to be ill again btw,I feel I have certainly had my share.

I just as I said reaching out ,possibly talking to like minded people might help?

There first step.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm sorry to hear about everything's that's been happening over the last few years but you've certainly come to the right place to talk to like minded people.

The online community is divided up into different support groups so I'm going to recommend that you join the neuroendocrine cancer and breast cancer groups which are great places to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

To join either or both of these groups just click on the links I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
